Silverfish
Silverfish are about ½ inch long, silvery in color, and can move quite rapidly. Found throughout the house, from basement to attic, they prefer a damp environment. Silverfish feed on paper, fabrics, and cereals. Glue and wallpaper paste also serve as food. We have found throughout the years that those wonderful crafts the kids bring home from school are a favorite food source for silverfish. They also have a long life cycle, living 2-3 years. Young look just like adults only smaller. Usually a chronic problem with only one or two being seen at a time. Control can be difficult and almost always requires help from a professional. O'Donnell's is familiar with the habits of this insect and will be happy to inspect your house and prescribe an effective treatment.
